Festival Guide
Vive Latino is Latin America's most important rock festival and Mexico City's biggest annual music event. Since 1998, it has championed rock en español while embracing hip hop, ska, reggae, electronic, and international acts. Foro Sol (now Estadio GNP Seguros) holds 65,000 per day.
The lineup is a perfect blend of Latin rock legends (Café Tacvba, Molotov, Caifanes) and international headliners. If you want to understand the energy of Latin American rock culture, there is no better place.
Mexico City is one of the world's great cities — the food alone is worth the trip. Tacos al pastor, mole, mezcal, and street food that rivals any Michelin restaurant. Roma/Condesa neighborhoods are walking distance from incredible restaurants.
Getting there: Mexico City International Airport (MEX) is 30 minutes from the city center. Metro and Uber are cheap and efficient. The venue is in the Iztacalco district, accessible by metro.
Pro tip: March weather in CDMX is dry and warm (24°C). Altitude is 2,240m so drink extra water and take it easy on day one. The mezcal tent at the festival is legendary.
